1976 – 2003

YARMOUTH – Elvin Ward III, 27, born on Oct. 17, 1976, in Bangor, son of Elvin and Pamela, passed away on Oct. 31, 2003.

Some of Elvin’s greatest pleasures included mud running with the Maine Mud Boggers Association, fishing at Cousins Island, an avid snowmobiler and a love for the outdoors. He also had an extreme passion and talent for drawing modified trucks, young children and flowers.

He was employed by Century Tire of Portland since April, 2001. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his beautiful daughter nicknamed “Harlee Bugs.” With her he enjoyed going for bike rides, walks in the wagon, even in the winter, and riding on the 4-wheeler at the farm. He was separated due to uncontrollable circumstances from his first daughter, Ashlee, however there was not a day that went by that he did not think of her. His fondest dream was that he could have been together with both his daughters.

Elvin is survived by his fiancée, Jessica Sue Sumner; and his two daughters, Harlee Anne Ward and Ashlee JoAnne (Ward) Tait; his parents, Elvin and Pamela Ward Jr. of Durham; grandparents, Evelyn and Milan Adamek of Gardiner; grandmother, Elizabeth Cropley of Lewiston; sister, Christina Ward of Durham; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
