1930 – 2003

LEWISTON – Floyd M. Pulk, 73, of Carthage died early Friday morning, Oct. 31, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, of cancer.

He was born May 6, 1930, in Lisbon Falls, the son of Melvin and Alice (Coolin) Pulk Hood. He was a logger and a very hard worker until the age of 68. He also served in the Armed Forces in the late 40’s. In April 1951, he married Evelyn Seeley of Eastport, who predeceased him. They had 5 children together.

Survivors include Joyce Kennison of South Paris, Barbara Hemmingway and husband, David, of Milton, Donna Rainey of South Paris, and Rose and husband, Arnold Kennison, of Woodstock, which is where he spent the last of his life, they took care of him until he went to be with the Lord. He has ten grandchildren, Butch, Anthony, Louanne, David, Jeremy and Amy all of South Paris, Willy and Barbara-Jean of Lewiston, Clay of Milton, and Justin of Woodstock. He also had many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; he also brought up a family of four other children as his own, Stella Blanchard of Rumford, Bert, Ruthy and Teddy all of Carthage area; he had one brother, Edwin Pulk of Carthage; and four sisters, Betty and Emeral Houghton of Carthage, Elijah and Beverly of East Dixfield, Carrie Foster of New Brunswick, Canada, and Doreen Acorn of Saint John, Canada.

He was predeceased by a son, Floyd Jr.
