1933 – 2003

TOGUS – James H. Trenoweth Sr., 70, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Veterans Hospital. A life long resident of the area he resided on the Franklin Annex Road, Rumford.

He was born in Rumford, on May 28, 1933, a son of John and Ruth (Glover) Trenoweth, graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford Class of 1952, and served with the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956.

He was employed as a machine tender and sub foreman on No. 12 Paper Machine at Boise Cascade Paper Co. in Rumford when he retired in 1995 after more than 39 years.

He was a member of LeParesseux Snowshoe Club and the Boise Cascade Paper Co. 25-Year Club.

He was married in Rumford, on Dec. 26, 1954 to the former Laura Mae Walker who survives of Rumford; other survivors include three sons, James Jr., Randal, and Steven Trenoweth all of Rumford; three daughters, Susan Welch and husband John Jr. of Mexico, Joan McDonald and husband John III of Worthley Pond, and Bonnie Gould and husband Kevin of Peru; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Norman Trenoweth of Canton, Danny Trenoweth and wife June of Mexico; five sisters, Eleanor Andrews of Sumner, Harriette Sicotte of Peru, Corrine Ackley of Sumner, Thelma Milligan and husband Roland Sr. of Rumford, and Clara Gallant and husband James of Mexico; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, John “Buckey” and William “Bill” Trenoweth; and a half-sister, Louise Turbide.
