LEWISTON – The team of Sonny Beaudoin-Dan Asselin captured top honors in the Wednesday night Lewiston Elks Pool League. Second was the duo of Reggie Poussard-Andy Gagne, followed by Paul Ouellette-Paul Pepin.

Hoop tourney slated

SKOWHEGAN – The 6th annual Skowhegan Savings Double-Elimination 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 22-23 at Skowhegan Area High School. Entry fee is $40 per team. Sports Expo set

FREEPORT – The L.L. Bean Winter Sports Expo is scheduled for Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the flagship store on Main Street. The event is free and open to the public. It will be a full day of entertainment and demonstrations designed to help outdoor enthusiasts this winter. Experts will share tips for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and dressing for the cold. Hoop clinic scheduled

WATERVILLE – The Thomas College men’s and women’s basketball teams are hosting a shooting clinic for youth in Grades 4-8. The clinic will be held in the Larry Mahaney Gymnasium on Saturday, November 15 from 8:45-11 a.m. Thomas College is located at 180 West River Road.

A grade-level “hot shot” competition and award ceremony will follow the clinic.
