BRADLEY (AP) – An 18-year-old woman was killed Monday morning when her car spun out of control, went off the highway and rolled over, troopers said.

The victim, who had been up all night, apparently fell asleep while driving on Route 178, said Trooper Michael Johnston. Her name was not released pending notification of relatives, he said.

The accident was reported at 6:13 a.m. It appears that the driver jerked the steering wheel after the car drifted off the highway, causing it to spin across the highway, Johnston said.

The car rolled over once, hit a culvert and crashed through a fence before coming to a stop, he said.
