MONMOUTH-Mt. Abram’s full-court pressure caused Monmouth many turnovers and a loss, as Mt. Abram defeated the Mustangs 73-44, in girls’ basketball Tuesday.
Lynn Plog sank 19 points for the Roadrunners (3-1), while Briana Wilkins chipped in with 15 points as well.
Cortney Barrett hauled down 17 rebounds to add to her eight points for the Mustangs (1-3). Brittany Scirica and Bianca Cloutier combined for 25 points for the Mustangs.
Eastgate 44, Seacoast 32
NEW GLOUCESTER – Angie Elvin drained a game-high 21 points as Eastgate Christian Academy sailed past Seacoast Christian Academy 44-32 in basketball action Tuesday evening.
Brittany Legare chipped in with 10 points and 10 steals, while Hailey Veilleux notched seven points and 13 rebounds to help the Eagles (4-0).
Liz Traften sank 14 points while Angie Littlefield added 12 for Seacoast Christian.
Dirigo 68, Carrabec 37
DIXFIELD – Alexa Kaubris netted a game-high 21 points to lead Dirigo to a 68-37 romp over Carrabec in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.
Holly Knight chipped in for the Cougars (4-0) with 18 points, while Brooke Weston added five points and had five steals. Kaubris also tallied six steals and five assists.
Megan Merrill led the Cobras (1-3) with 10 points, while Kelly Rudman chipped in with seven. The Cougars led 40-17 at the half and were never seriously challenged.
Jay 64, Lisbon 35
LISBON – Kaylie DeMillo had a solid game on defense, racking up 22 points to lead Jay to a 64-35 win over Lisbon in basketball action Tuesday evening.
Sara Fetterhoff and Heather Johnson chipped with a combined 24 points for the Tigers (3-1).
Krystal Doughty drained 15 points to pace the Greyhounds (0-4).
Oxford Hills 48,
Leavitt 37
SOUTH PARIS – Annie Foster drained 16 points as Oxford Hills slipped past Leavitt 48-37 in KVAC basketball action Tuesday.
Kellie Sunderland added 12 points for the Vikings (2-0).
The Hornets (0-2) were paced by Stephanie Healy with nine points, while Annie Dyer added six.
Wells 55, Poland 47
POLAND – Alicia Ramsdell netted a game-high 23 points to pace Wells to a 55-47 victory over Poland in a girls’ basketball matchup Tuesday evening.
Ramsdell’s performance allowed Wells (1-3) to jump out to a 30-20 lead at the half, and despite a less than stellar final two quarters, it held on to the win.
Mindy Thomas led the way for the Knights (0-5) with 14 points, 13 rebounds and five steals. Abby Perkins chipped in with 10 points.
Gardiner 52, Mt. Blue 51
FARMINGTON – Becky Dixon notched 18 points as Gardiner captured 52-51 win over Mt. Blue in girls’ basketball action.
Emily Coughlan and Laura Nimon each added eight points for the Tigers (2-0).
Amy Mansir sank six three-pointers and racked up 20 points to lead the Cougars (0-2). Christian Mosher chipped in with 10 points.
Wiscasset 61,
Winthrop 25
WISCASSET – Sarah Whitfield poured 15 points to lead Wiscasset to a 61-25 triumph over Winthrop Tuesday evening.
Amanda Davis chipped in with 11 points, while Kristin Pierce and Brittany South each added 10 points for the Redskins (3-1).
The Ramblers (1-3) were led by Katie Brooks and Emilie Knight with a combined 10 points.
MCI 57, Oak Hill 18
WALES – Kasey Dodge sank 12 points as MCI crushed Oak Hill 57-18 in KVAC basketball action Tuesday night.
Megan Dodge and Macky Sullivan each added 11 points for the Huskies (2-3).
Ashley Mederros netted seven points, while Amber Chapman scored six points for Oak Hill (1-4).
Mountain Valley 52, Boothbay 37
RUMFORD – Kristen Arsenault led all scorers with 17 points as Mountain Valley defeated Boothbay 52-37 Tuesday evening.
Devon Allen and Cerese Richardson combined for 22 points for the Falcons (3-1).
The Seahawks (3-1) were led by Kyle Hissins with eight points, and Alacia Brown and Kaitlun Garrett each scored seven points.

Cape Elizabeth 1
PORTLAND – Erica Dorso took a feed from Meagan O’Neil late in the third quarter and slapped it into the net to lift St. Dom’s to a 3-2 win over Cape Elizabeth in ice hockey action at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
Caitlin Rutt put the Saints (4-0) on the board in the first period when she took a pass from Erica Dorso and placed it in the net.
Sarah Landis scored the lone goal for Cape Elizabeth in the second period on a pass from Claire Jackson.
