AUBURN – Kara Violette tallied 7 goals and 2 assists to lead the Auburn Youth Hockey Millett Realty Mites past Kennebec’s Wendy’s Mites 9-2 in recent action. Ryan Ratsep scored the other 2 goals. Other assist-makers were Connor Violette (2) and Jacob Simard. Eliza Tuell and JJ Jansen netted the Kennebec goals. Nevin Rand was the winning netminder. Austin Christopher tended goal for Kennebec. . . Millett Realty also outlasted Western Maine Mites 12-10 as Kara Violette lit the lamp 5 more times. Nevin Rand registered a hat trick and Ratsep scored twice. Adding a goal each were Dalton Lorenz and Kaleb Bridgham. Credited with assists were Kara Violette (2), Connor Violette (2), Lorenz and Ratsep. Scoring for Western were Noah Smith, Caleb Warren and Chris Gagne. Assists went to Gagne (2), Warren and Patrick Long. Sedrick Simons tended goal for Auburn, as did Rachel Kellough for Western.

Day’s Jewelers Pee Wee travel team blanked Berlin 5-0 Sunday as Shawn Hird notched a hat trick. Tim Millette and Steven Rouillard also scored. Receiving assists were Rouillard (2) and Cody Violette. Cole Benak goaled the shutout, his first of the season.
