LEWISTON – Virginia A. Buteau, 81, of 10 Oak Park, Lewiston, died Friday, Dec. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, June 3, 1922, the daughter of William and Julia Manning Alexander.
She married Lucien Buteau on Nov. 6, 1944. He died July 22, 1994.
She was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II.
She was a member of South Lewiston Baptist Church and enjoyed serving in church events.
Mrs. Buteau also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Buteau and his wife Teri of Town River, N.J., and Donald Buteau and his wife Laura of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Therese Card and her husband Roger of Chesapeake, Va., and Venice Danforth and her husband Levi of Dexter; one brother, Robert Alexander of Cincinnati, Ohio; one twin sister, Dorothy Richardson of Cincinnati, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, Laurier Buteau, the twin of Robert, and Richard Buteau; and one brother, Warren Alexander.
