LEWISTON – Donald A. Rodrigue, 79, of 25 Brooks Ave., Lewiston, died Sunday evening, Dec. 28, 2003 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston, Feb. 15, 1924, the son of Adelard and Alida Rodrigue, he had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He was the owner and operator of Lewiston Plate Glass. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and was a lifetime member of the Lewiston Elks. He also belonged to the American Legion Post #22 of Lewiston. He was a former member of the Lewiston Zoning Board and served for five years as Lewiston Police Commissioner.

Survivors include his wife, the former Fernande Gagne, whom he married on Oct. 26, 1957 of Lewiston; two sons, Clarke and his wife, Jan of Navarre, Fla. and Jay and his wife, Terry of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
