FARMINGTON – The trial of Joshua Osborne, a Farmington man accused of attempting to kill his mother, has been continued until Tuesday. Fourteen jurors were picked this week for the trial, initially slated to begin at 9 a.m. Monday.

Osborne, 23, is accused of shooting his mother, Janette Osborne, in the chest as she was hanging clothes in July, after he learned she was going to evict him from the family farm and sell the homestead on Osborne Road in Farmington.

Osborne’s attorney Kevin Joyce said in a voice message about 4 p.m. Friday that it appeared then that the case has been continued until Tuesday.

A court clerk said jurors were being notified of the change.
