AUBURN – Auburn Firefighters Local 797 honored the heroes of the attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.
Platoon Chief Ray Levesque donated an American flag listing all the firefighters and police officers who died in the line of duty on that day.
Lt. Al Murch created a glassed-in case for the flag, which is now on display at Central Fire Headquarters.
Prior to the ceremony, L’Heureux, along with Pvts. Jim Hart and Brendon Joyce, took part in a memorial at Sherwood Heights School where all students and teachers participated. There was a gathering around the American flag where all in attendance sang patriotic songs.
