1926 – 2004
JAY – Natalie E. Gross, 77, a resident of Elm Street in Jay, died Monday, Jan. 12, following a long illness.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Delma Pomerleau Lavoie. She was a 1944 graduate of Jay High School and attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing. On Jan. 19, 1947, she married Norman Gross at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He passed away on Nov. 5, 1999. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. She had also worked for Dr. Fernand Cyr in Livermore Falls for 13 years.
“Nat” was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church of Jay, a member and past Regent of the Daughters of Isabella, a charter member of the Wilton Catholic Counsel and a life member of the Lane-Dube Amvets Post 33 Auxiliary of Jay and the VFW, Frankl L. Mitchell, Post 3335 Auxiliary of Jay. In her spare time she enjoyed camping and bowling.
She is survived by a son, Gary Gross and his wife Donna of Hartford; a daughter, Linda Fournier and her partner, Barbara Fortier of Jay; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Jackie Coates.
