PHILLIPS – Selectmen accepted a letter of resignation from school director Eugene Caton at Tuesday night’s meeting and appointed Alan Morse to take over Caton’s duties, according to a transcript of the meeting.

The road commissioner told board members about problems with the town’s bucket loader. Bids on a replacement loader are being accepted before the town meeting in March.

Selectmen also discussed progress on the town’s future Web site.

The Web designer developing the site will be asked to attend the next selectmen’s meeting so that board members can learn more about the project.

Funding of the Web site is covered by a grant awarded to the town for its work toward a comprehensive plan on future organization and operation.
