1921 – 2004
NORWAY – Merle F. Beausoleil, 82, of 38 Middle Ave., Mexico, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
Born in Newry, Feb. 25, 1921, a son of Francis and Charlotte Vail Beausoleil. He graduated from Mexico High School Class of 1942 and attended college in Massachusetts.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was married to the former Pauline Raymond who died Nov. 14, 1984. He owned and operated Beausoleil Upholstery Shop.
Mr. Beausoleil was a member of St. Theresa’s Parish and Napoleon Ouellette Post 24 American Legion.
He is survived by two nieces, Dolores Valente and Elizabeth Berg; great-nieces and nephews, Douglas Jacomb, Christina Boggs, Keith and Kyle Nelson, Alison Swiger, Edward Berg, Theresa Wallace and Ian Berg; two great-great-nieces, Kaylee Swiger and Cheana Wallace.
