Leavitt Men’s League

TURNER – Ben Alpren Machine extended its lead in the Leavitt Area Men’s Basketball League Sunday with a 98-93 win over second place Dubord Realty/Ranor. Dan Coleman led with 23 points. Adding support were Nate Pelletier (22) and Shawn Spadea (20). Scott Bessey paced the Realtors with 28. Brian Bessey added 21.

Lost Crusaders broke into the victory column for the first time with a 98-90 win over Shooters. Dave Zutter sparked the Crusaders with 27. Jimmy Davis tallied 33 for Shooters. Chris Randall added 29, Heath Crocker 16, and Adam Varney 13. Shooters played the entire game with just 4 players.

Mike Graham popped in 31 to power Lisbon Road Animal Hospital to an 87-69 triumph over Ruff Riders. Josh Morin netted 28 for the Riders.

Chris Williamson collected 24 and Mike Lance added 23 as Sturtevant & Ham Insurance beat Gemini Nutrition 100-80. John Stanton paced Gemini with 28.

Sunday’s games at Leavitt Area High School will start earlier due to the Patriots-Colts AFC championship game, as follows: 11 a.m., Sturtevant & Ham vs Dubord/Ranor (Gemini works as refs); Ben Alpren vs Lisbon Road Animal Hospital (Crusaders work); 12:30, Shooters vs Gemini (Dubord works); Ruff Riders vs Crusaders (Lisbon Road Animal Hospital works).
