NORWAY – The first of a series of free Best of Health Seminars offered by Stephens Memorial Hospital will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The seminars were held for the first time last year and were a popular attraction, said spokesperson Tracy Geary.

“Folks have asked for this. They want information on timely health issues,” she said.

The Jan. 20 seminar will be on “New Year’s Resolutions: Celebrate, Be Realistic, Make Healthy Choices.”

Spaces are filling up fast for the Jan. 20 seminar, which will be in the Harper Conference Center of the Ripley Medical Center Building beside the hospital at 193 Main St., Norway.

The panel of speakers will be Dr. Brian Nolan, social worker Robin Green, physical therapist Jan Salis and dietitian Pat Watson.

Seminars will be held monthly until June. February’s topic is “Cholesterol and All That Jazz.”

Last year’s seminars dealt with topics such as diabetes, heart-related issues and women’s health.
