LEWISTON – The Franco-American Heritage Center at St. Mary’s announces the election of Donna R. Steckino as vice chairwoman of the board of directors.

Steckino is a 30-year plus veteran of the financial services industry and has been president/CEO of Community Credit Union for 21 years. Steckino is involved in many volunteer efforts within the Twin Cities and beyond.

She is a member of the L/A College Advisory Council, the Lewiston Downtown Advisory Board, the Sisters of Charity Health Care System Foundation board, Auburn Public Library board of trustees, Head Start board, the Advisory Committee of the Wisdom Center and is an Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, also serving as a member of the Regional Image Committee.

Steckino is a member of the state Bureau of Financial Institutions Advisory Council and the Maine Credit Union League Governmental Affairs Committee.

She is a graduate of the Financial Management School at Pennsylvania State University, the Executive Marketing School at the University of Missouri and the Management School at the State University of New York at Albany.

She enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and is in the process of earning her private pilot license. She resides in Auburn with her husband. Frederick Frohardt.
