Kents Hill nips Win-Dale

KENTS HILL – Ben Krall scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Kents Hill to a 4-3 come-from-behind win over Win-Dale Thursday night.

Krall was joined in the scoring column by teammates Streeter O’Shaughnessy and Matt Wilson, who tallied a goal apiece. All four goals came winthin an eight minute span in the third period from Kents Hill, capped off with Krall’s second goal, on a power play and eventual game winner.

Win-Dale (3-8) was led by Sam Frost and Nate Frechette with a goal and two assists apiece. Frost had the loan goal of the first period, while Frechette put Win-Dale out to a 2-0 lead early in the second. Their lead grew to 3-1 on a goal by Adam Beal in the third, but it was short lived as Kents Hill finally found openings.

Josh Grant and Brandon Ellis combined for 21 saves in goal for Win-Dale, while Josh Seeley secured the win in net for Kents Hill (6-5) pulling in 26 saves.

Telstar 72, Carrabec 49

NORTH ANSON – Senior guard Casey Fleet created a bit of fireworks with 29 points

as Telstar streamed to a 72-49 win over Carrabec in MVC boys’ basketball action Thursday.

Juniors August Reiss and Josh Lonway tallied 10 points apiece to contribute to the Rebels strong middle game effort. Following an 18-8 second quarter effort to take a 38-27 lead at the half, Telstar continued to apply strong full-court pressure in the third frame to put the game out of reach.

Senior center Josh Turner had a double-double for the Cobras (0-13) with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
