RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. LaPointe was celebrated Thursday morning at St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques as celebrant. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections were “Amazing Grace” and “Ave Maria,” which were sung by his daughter, Valerie Glueck. Readings were given by his daughter, Jennifer Warriner and granddaughter, Tiana Warriner. The eulogy was given by his son, Stephen LaPointe and grandchildren, Tristan LaPointe, Linnea Burns, Kassie Burns, John LaPointe and Michelle LaPointe. Interment will be in the spring at St John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed the funeral Mass at St. Athanasius-St John Church Hall. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
