1915 – 2004

WINSLOW – Julienne Y. (Poulin) Pellerin, 88, of Winslow, passed away early Monday morning, Jan. 26, in her sleep. She was a resident of Goodreau’s Independent Care in Winslow.

Born in Waterville, Oct. 6, 1915, a daughter of John and Pauline (Mathieu) Poulin, she was married on May 30, 1934, to Emilien Pellerin in Waterville, before moving to the Rumford/Mexico area.

Together they developed a small summer private camp ground on China Lake and spent their winters in St. Petersburg, Fla. She enjoyed her grandchildren, music, dancing, meeting people and playing bingo.

Survivors include one son, Bernard and his wife, Joan Pellerin of Rumford; a daughter, Jacqueline and her husband, Philip Matthews of Readfield; a sister, Aurora Laliberty of Waterville; six grandchildren, Donna Reynolds of Albion, Deborah and her husband, Don Hamann of Mexico, Daniel Pellerin and his wife, Stacey of Leeds, Dale Pellerin of Rumford, Philip Matthews III and his wife, Kara of Waterford, N.Y., and Kelly and her husband, Matthew Morse of Shelton, Conn.; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Emilien, whom she had been married to for 65 years; two sisters, Rose Bilodeau and Harmance Rancourt; and two brothers, John and Lucien Poulin.
