1948 – 2004
LEWISTON – Robert W. Moon, Sr., died early Sunday morning, Jan. 25, unexpectedly at his residence.
He was born in Bangor, Jan. 3, 1948, the son of Linwood and Dolores (Southard) Moon. He married the former Louise Cowparthwaite in 1967.
He had been a resident of Lewiston since 1986.
He was a hard worker who was loved by all and was employed most of his life as a long haul truck driver, and retired in 2003.
He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed TV, and loved his grandchildren, and taking care of his dog, “Vanilla.”
Survivors include his stepmother, Harriet Benosky of Freedom; his wife, Louise of Lewiston; three sons, Robert Jr., and his wife, Trish, Frank and his wife Heather all of Lewiston, and Deven and his wife, Cheryl of Augusta; four brothers; four sisters; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Brett, Bryce, Sierra, Cheyenne, Dustin, and Brooke; and many nieces and nephews.
