1933 – 2004

LEWISTON – Guy “Blaine” Emery, 70, died unexpectedly at CMMC on Feb. 16. He was surrounded by his loving family and long time companion, Bev.

“Blaine” was born in Lewiston, on Dec. 19, 1933, the son of Guy T. and Eva Soule Emery.

On July 9, 1952, he married Juanita M. Tripp.

He worked tirelessly as a logger his entire life. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and Germany.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to Jackman on the weekends.

He is survived by daughters, Kathy and husband Ron Pomerleau of Poland, Cindy and husband Ed Brown of Mechanic Falls, Callie and husband Linwood Osgood of Poland, and Traci Emery of Auburn; sons, Shawn and his wife Sue Emery of Poland, Steve and his wife Lorrie Emery of Poland, Stacey and his wife Sandi Emery of Turner, Scott and his wife Pam Emery of Poland; sister, Nancy and husband Jim Jackson of Jackman; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife of 45 years, Juanita; daughter, Elaina Morey; and brother, Rexford.
