FARMINGTON – A free career fair will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 22, in Olsen Student Center at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Sponsored by the college’s Center for Human Development, the career fair is open to the public as well as UMF alumni.
It will feature recruiting representatives from more than 60 businesses and organizations, ranging from mutual fund brokerages to summer camps for children with special needs. These offer full and part-time work, as well as internships. Last year’s fair drew more than 300 job seekers. No preregistration is required of job seekers.
For more information and a list of participating companies and organizations, people may visit the web site: http://departments.umf.maine.edu/~chd/Recruiting/careerfair.html or contact Program Coordinator Sue Ronald at 778-7029 or 778-7034.
Next in the series of UMF Center for Human Development career fairs will be UMF’s annual Education Job Fair on Monday, April 26, in UMF’s Dearborn Gymnasium. It is Maine’s only job fair specifically for prospective teachers and draws recruiters from across the nation.
