CHESTERVILLE – The Chesterville Historical Society is bringing back a tradition to the town. On Monday, March 8, the Heritage Society will be hosting a town meeting supper. The dinner will feature lasagna, baked beans and all the trimmings from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Town meeting starts at 7. Eat in or take out for $5 per person, children 5 to 12 $2.50.

Artists’ program

WILTON – Upcountry Artists new 2004 programs are being offered starting with a watercolor demonstration and workshop with noted watercolorist Carol Sebold from Camden from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 13. Bring materials for watercolor painting and a bag lunch. Beverages provided.

Same day afternoon workshop on Ukrainian egg dyeing with instructor Judy Loeven of Farmington, will run from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Each workshop is $15 for Upcountry Artist and $30 for nonmembers. Workshops are held on the UMF Campus. Register before March 10 by contacting President Kika Nigals at 778-5642 or Secretary Barbara Hathaway at 645-3449. Storm date is March 20. New members are welcome.

Open house

FARMINGTON – The Gold Leaf Institute at the University of Maine in Farmington will hold its spring open house and kick-off from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 24, in the North Dining Hall at the Olsen Student Center. For more information, call 207-778-7063.
