HALIFAX – The Acadian Richard/Richards family will host the sixth international reunion on Aug. 13, 14 and 15.

The Richard family was one of the pioneer Acadian families that settled in Port Royal before the “Expulsion of 1755.” Descendants of Michel Richard, who scattered across the North American continent, will be reunited, returning to their original homeland in Nova Scotia.

Families will come from Louisiana, North Dakota, New England, Florida, Texas, California, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, Quebec and France.

Registrations must be returned by June 1 so arrangements can be made to accommodate everyone.
