NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A Nashua man charged with giving his girlfriend a fatal dose of Oxycontin has been turned over to Maine authorities.

Mohammad Attaie, 44, was arrested in February but released on bail while he fought extradition to Maine. He was arrested again last week after the two states completed the process of bringing him to Maine to face felony drug distribution charges.

Attaie is accused of giving OxyContin to his girlfriend, who later overdosed and died. Patricia Harmon, 33, of Auburn remained comatose for nearly three weeks before she died in September 2002, leaving two children.

Attaie faces a felony drug distribution charge in Androscoggin County Superior Court in Auburn.
