State troopers will carry a blue ribbon from one end of Maine to the other.
AUGUSTA – A Blue Ribbon Relay will be held by the Maine Child Abuse Councils, the Maine Association of Child Abuse Prevention agencies and state troopers on Wednesday, April 21.

State troopers will carry a blue ribbon from one end of Maine to the other to recognize April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

One ribbon will start in northern Maine and another ribbon will begin the trek from southern Maine. The two will meet at 2 p.m. at the State House, where a Blue Ribbon Rally will be held with Gov. John Baldacci, the Maine Troopers Association and child abuse prevention advocates.

The blue ribbon will also make a stop for a rally at noon at the Troop B Barracks on Route 26 in Gray.
