TURNER – Police on Tuesday were still searching for a man who walked into the Big Apple on Route 4 Monday morning and demanded money.
Investigators said the suspect told a store clerk he had a gun. When the clerk handed over cash, the suspect took off in a waiting car, police said.
The clerk was not hurt. It was not disclosed how much money was taken in the 1 a.m. heist.
The suspect was described as in his 20s, about six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, a dark baseball cap, baggy jeans and sunglasses covering most of his face.
