This is the first feature-length concert at Lisbon Teen Center’s Open Mic and Showcase.

LISBON – Kate Schrock is back in her home state of Maine with four shows. She’ll be joined by her good friend, Dave Rave, a Canadian songwriter, producer and performer.

They will play at the Lisbon Teen Center, 32 Main St., Lisbon Falls, with special guest Jessie Chazin Wednesday, May 5. That program begins at 7:30. Doors open 6 p.m.

Directions are at www.banddmusicservice.com/directions.htm.

Schrock and Rave played and co-wrote songs on each other’s latest CDs: Schrock’s “Indiana,” which Rave also produced, and Rave’s “Everyday Magic.”

They also share a wild sense of humor, road stories, 14 years of friendship, a love for music and now The Broke Down Soul Review, which is the name that they use when they tour together, most recently in parts of the Midwest and the South.

Schrock says, “He is one of the most inspired and inspiring artists I have ever met or worked with. Whenever he is on the bill, it is sure to be a very special night!”

In these upcoming concerts, they will feature new songs they wrote together while on an epoch tour in the Midwest last fall.

The other three concerts are at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, in the Damariscotta Grill; 8 p.m. Friday, May 7, in the St. Lawrence Arts and Community Center, 76 Congress St., Portland; and at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 8, with Ellis Paul at Brewer Middle School auditorium, 5 Somerset Ave., Brewer.

Tickets for the Lisbon Falls concert are $10 and will only be sold at the door. Space is limited. FMI: call 784-2338. Visit www.dave-rave.com and www.kateschrock.com for more on the artists.
