PARIS – The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club of South Paris recently elected officers for 2004-2005. They are Sue and Dwight Corning of South Paris, presidents; Eleanor and Bob Herrick of Auburn, vice presidents; Chandler Wright of Greenwood, secretary; and Judy Thompson of Waterford, treasurer.

Dick Deans of Hebron, Ann Robinson of Norway and Eleanor Herrick of Auburn are directors. John Thompson, a professional square dance caller, teaches a workshop every Wednesday evening, which includes all levels from class to A1. Dances are held once a month.

A special 40th anniversary dance is planned for Sunday afternoon, Aug. 29. A new class will be offered beginning Sept. 15. All ages are welcome.
