JAY – Selectmen voted Monday to ban large trucks from parking on the east side of Main Street downtown, said Town Manager Ruth Marden.
The restricted area is from the Livermore Falls line to Jewell Street in front of St. Rose of Lima Church and the parish hall.
Safety complaints had been made about sight restrictions for drivers when big trucks were parked on that side of the road and motorists were trying to turn from Church and Jewell streets onto Main Street.
