LEWISTON – Area softball sluggers will have a chance to show their power. The Lewiston Rec Slow Pitch Softball League is sponsoring a home run derby Friday, May 21 at 6 p.m. at Randall Road complex.

The event is open to anyone. Entry fee is $10.

There will also be a 50-50 contest winner.

A-K Girls League

LEEDS – Kristy Buzzell, Emily Murphy and Jessica Hyatt all collected 3 hits as Leeds outslugged the Greene Eagles 14-11 in the 12-Under Division. Winning pitcher was Kristin Capen, with Olivia Bradley gaining a save. Courtney Dumont went 4-4 with 2 homers for the Eagles. Sharelie Dumont and Kendra Ray both added 2 hits, with Ray swatting a round-tripper.
