BETHEL – Jessie Farrington tallied three hits with one RBI to pace unbeaten Telstar to a 7-4 victory over Mt. Abram in MVC softball action Wednesday.

Farrington’s RBI came on a double in the fifth after the Roadrunners had made it 4-3 in their half of the inning. Ashley Stambolis tallied three hits for the Rebels (11-0), while Tiffany Jordan and Krystle Gould added two apiece.

Ashley Dalessondra led Mt. Abram’s offensive effort with four hits, while Stephanie Hood and Sadie White added two each.

Liv. Falls 9, Winthrop 4

WINTHROP – Majorie Debrosky smashed a two-run triple in the third inning as Livermore Falls posted a 9-4 triumph over Winthrop in softball action Wednesday.

Jenika Kelley chipped in with an RBI triple in the sixth inning for the Andies (8-5). Krista Allen hit a triple, while Taryn Flagg smacked a double for the Andies. Winthrop committed three errors in the second inning, allowing Livermore Falls to take a 4-1 lead.

The Ramblers (4-8) were paced by Kelli Laskco with two doubles.

Jay 17, Monmouth 0

MONMOUTH – Bree Loon fanned 15 batters and walked only two to send Jay to a 17-0 trouncing of Monmouth in softball action Wednesday afternoon.

Lindsey McDonald, Kaylie DeMillo, and Jana Fettehoff each hit doubles for the Tigers (11-1). Rachel Gagnon was the lone repeat hitter of the game, tallying two hits for Jay.

Oak Hill 2, Mt. View 0

THORNDIKE – Jill Lizotte went 3-for-3 with a triple to pace Oak Hill to a 2-0 win over Mt. View in a KVAC softball matchup Wednesday.

Magan Blais chipped in for the Raiders (11-3) with two hits and one RBI. Danielle Sargeant fanned 14 while earning her third win of the season.

Meagan Carman pitched the complete game for the Mustangs (4-12), allowing eight hits while taking the loss.

Lawrence 2, Ox. Hills 1

SOUTH PARIS -Sam Lawe scored on a go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning to give Lawrence a 2-1 triumph over Oxford Hills.

Randi Arsenault had a solid game on the mound for the Bulldogs (8-7), fanning nine batters.

The Vikings (8-7) were led by Chelsea Cummings with a double.

Lisbon 9, Mtn. Valley 4

RUMFORD – Anna Piela smashed a three-run triple as Lisbon posted a 9-4 victory over Mountain Valley Wednesday afternoon in softball action.

It was an evenly matched contest until the sixth inning when Lisbon overtook the Falcons, who made costly errors. Nicole Strople and Brie Mathieu each hit RBI doubles, while Soleil Mathieu tallied a double for the Greyhounds (7-6). Jen Hogan showed solid control on the mound for Lisbon.

Mallory Thurston hit a double to lead the Falcons (3-7).

Poland 6, Yarmouth 3

POLAND – Relief pitcher Kelli O’Connor pitched five innings of shutout ball with six strikeouts to enable Poland to rally and post a 6-3 victory over Yarmouth in WMC softball Wednesday.

Meghan McNally and Kasey Darnell each hit an RBI double to assist the Knights (9-5).

Lynn Whittenmore smacked a triple for the Clippers’ (6-8).

Dirigo 16, Hall-Dale 15

DIXFIELD – Kayleigh Daley went 4-for-5 with three doubles, scored three runs and knocked in four to spark Dirigo to its first vcitroy of the season, a 16-15 decisiojn over Hall-Dale 16-15.

Abby Fenstermacher hit a two-run double, while Michelle Holmquist hit an RBI double for the Cougars (1-11). Courtney Derouche went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, Jess Meader went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and Shannon Daley went 3-for-3 with an RBI.

The Bulldogs (2-9) were paced by Moriah Vellani, who went 4-for-4.

Lacrosse
Lewiston 11, Messalonskee 10

LEWISTON – Caitlyn Anthoine netted the game winning goal with 51 seconds remaining in the contest to give Lewiston an 11-10 triumph over Messalonskee in KVAC lacrosse action Wednesday.

Lewiston led 6-3 at the half, but Messalonskee came back to tie the game at 10-10 with 4:30 left to play on a goal by Sarah Sturgell. Anthoine then answered for the Blue Devils (6-5) for the game-winner.

Gen Lysen tallied five goals, while Marina MacDonald, Mallory Long, Luca Jacobsen, and Anthoine combined for six for the Lewiston triumph.

Sara Stevens scored five goals for the Eagles (5-6). Sturgell ended the contest with two goals, while Heidi Stucki, Jamie Wrigley, and Abby Tonge each chipped in with a goal apiece.
