PORTLAND – The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in partnership with the Maine Human Rights Commission is offering a technical assistance program seminar on “Partner with EEOC, Meet the Workplace Challenge of the 21st Century.”
It will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 8 at the Sheraton Hotel in South Portland.
Topics include best practices on dealing with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act; legal updates; assessing risk of sexual harassment; and new national origin and religious accommodation requirements. Keynote speaker is Laura Fortman, commissioner of Maine Department of Labor.
