LEWISTON – Harold (Jack) and Lillian Long of Milford, N.H., formerly of Lewiston, renewed their vows on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27 aboard the Grand Princess in the western Caribbean.

The ceremony was held in the chapel of “The Love Boat” and was performed by Captain Nick Carlton. Witnessing the celebration were the couple’s daughter, Carol and husband, Phil Laurendeau, of Lewiston and their son, Timothy and wife, Mehrnaz Long, who were accompanied by their children, Cassandra and Kyle of Bedford, N.H.

The couple was married in Lewiston on Feb. 27, 1954. She is the daughter of the late Emile and Imelda Larrivee of Lewiston. He is the son of the late Lucille McCue of Kansas City, Mo.

The couple has four children, a daughter, Carol and husband, Philippe Laurendeau, of Lewiston, a son, Dennis Long of Tampa, Fla., a daughter, Gilda and husband, Mark Stigliano, of Milford, N.H. and a son, Timothy and wife, Mehrnaz Long, of Bedford, N.H. They have eight grandchildren, Kevin and wife, Marisa Laurendeau, Kellie and husband, Al Cardona, Kristen Laurendeau, Jason Long, Jessica Long, Cassandra Long, Kyle Long and Leah Stigliano. They also have two great-grandchildren, Emilie Laurendeau and Noah Cardona.

After the cruise, the couple vacationed an additional week in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., where they traveled and visited many relatives. Many gifts and cards were sent to them prior to their departure, which truly touched the hearts of the couple. They are both retired and moved to New Hampshire nine years ago.
