The most important business was the report of Secretary Harry Stentson who returned from Boston where he went to purchase a stone crusher for the city. Mr. Stetson reported that he examined the various kinds of stone crushers now on the market, and finally decided that the Climax Crusher is superior to the others. From the peaked canvas tents to the indispensable Ferris Wheel, all the elements of the midway at an old fashioned county fair have mushroomed at Pettengill Park under the direction of the Auburn Exchange Club. Twin City residents will begin making the rounds of the midway and the Edward Little High School band will give a concert. The 700-foot midway is lined with games, rides and displays. A bear, raccoon and deer are part of the display of typical Maine wildlife which was provided by the State Inland Fisheries and Game Department.
