AUBURN – Fernand Girard, 95, of 26 Bolster St., Auburn and formerly of 22 Summer St., Lewiston died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, June 8, at Bolster Heights Health Care Facility.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 16, 1909, the son of Joseph and Leda (Gervais) Girard and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He married the former Bertha Gagnon in 1937, and who died on July 12, 1988.
He was a painter by trade having worked for himself and for Jules Rodrigue until his retirement in 1971, and was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Church.
He is survived by his son, Armand Girard and his wife Rose of Auburn.
He was predeceased by his sister, Gracienne Desjardins on July 27, 1994.
