FARMINGTON – Richard F. Lidstone, 75, of Farmington died Saturday, June 5, at Franklin Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

He was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Dryden, the son of Herman and Julia (Newell) Lidstone. He was educated in the schools of Farmington. He worked as a brick mason for the better part of 40 years. He also loved to cut wood, but his biggest passions were deer hunting and fishing. He will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Julia Mosher of Farmington; one daughter, Susan Lidstone of Rockport; two sons, Christopher Lidstone of British Columbia, and Timothy Lidstone of Bingham; three grandchildren, Ashley and Steven Lidstone of Bingham, and Nathan Allen of Rockport; two sisters, Jane Seavey of New Gloucester, and Jean Arena of Massachusetts; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Lidstone; and his father, Herman.
