AUBURN – The Baha’is of Auburn will gather at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Danville Junction Grange to honor Tom Rowe, who died of cancer Jan. 17.

The popular, well-known local educator, professional musician and entertainer was committed to the teachings of the Baha’i faith and performed at several Race Unity Day events. His memorial is being held on June 13, Race Unity Day, which was established by the U.S. National Baha’i Community.

There will be prayers, music and memories. The offering of prayers on behalf of the departed is encouraged in the Baha’i teachings because they are believed to be conducive to the progress of their souls in the world beyond.

Everyone is welcome. For more information, phone Lucy Smith at 783-0749 or Donna Meade-Fitch at 784-0576.
