SCARBOROUGH – The Maine Association of USATF will hold its (15-18) Championship and (10-under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18) Region 1 Qualifying meet, Friday and Saturday, June 18-19, at Scarborough High School. The triathlon, pentathlon, decathlon and heptathlon will be held Friday starting at 3:30 p.m. The 14-under qualifying for track and field will start at 9 a.m. Saturday. The 15-18 State Championship and Region 1 qualifer for track and field will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Eligible for the Junior Olympic Program are athletes who are still 18 through August 1, 2004. Individuals must be Maine USATF registered and that can be obtained at the meet for $12. Entry fee for all ages is $5 for their first event and $4 for additional events if the entry is received by June 17. Registration will begin one hour before the meet.
