LAKELAND, Fla. – Olive Richardson Dow, 86, died of cancer at home on June 11.

She was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Augusta. She and the late Russell Dow, also of Auburn, moved to Lakeland, Fla., in 1988.

Mrs. Dow was a member of Apple Valley and Fairlawn golf courses while in Auburn and continued her avid love of golf in Florida. She was also an active member of the Lifestyle Club in Lakeland, and maintained her three-day-a-week routine up until a month before her death.

She is survived by her children, Jeanne Packard Daniels of Enfield, Conn., Barbara L. Packard of Cambridge, Mass., Dorothy Packard Contreras of Kingsbury, Texas, and Stephen R. Packard of Lewiston; one brother, Charles Richardson, and a sister, Alma Richardson Molloy of Agoura, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Fabyan S. Packard of West Auburn; and her second husband, Lester H. Parker of Auburn.
