BATH – Four local and national comedians will be featured in a Comedy Jam at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at The Chocolate Church Arts Center. The entertainers will be George Hamm, Felon O’Reilly, Scott Davis and John Ater.

Hamm, a native of Maine and a Portland resident, has performed coast-to-coast in comedy clubs such as the Laugh Factory, the Improv and Comedy Works, which is in Montreal. Hamm also has had feature roles in three independent films recently: “Pennyweight,” “Open Mic” and “Mint Condition.”

O’Reilly, who has a smooth, captivating style, is a “master of the misdirect,” according to the arts center. He creates original work based on his unique experiences involving life in the streets, crime, alcohol and substance abuse. As a motivational comedian, O’Reilly offers a uplifting message of hope through a gift of laughter.

O’Reilly has performed at a number of comedy spots in New England, including the Comedy Connection in Portland.

He has opened for comedian Bob Marley and will appear with him in the soon-to-be released films “Tough Hombres” and “Fugitive from Goldtown,” the first two of three films written and produced by comedian Quinn Collins.

Ater, a Bath native, has been performing in the area for a wicked long time. He has also been heavily involved in Bath’s Fourth of July parade for the last five years, winning the most humorous honor. He enjoys entertaining the troops. Ater recently completed a workshop at the Comedy Connection.

Davis is a Maine native who lives in West Bath. He recently competed in the Portland’s funniest professional comedy competition at the Comedy Connection, placing in the top six finalists out of a field of approximately 90 competitors. He’s also a jazz trumpet player and leader of the Scott Davis Jazz Quartet, which often plays pieces written by Davis featuring comical lyrics to familiar tunes.
