OXFORD – The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Kay House meeting room, 73 Pleasant St. The program will be given by Dorene Bartlett. The public is invited, and refreshments will be served.

FRYEBURG – The Fryeburg Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the American Legion Hall, Bradley Street. Refreshments will be served.

The evening’s program will be “Collecting and Identifying Barbed Wire and Its History,” presented by Lionel Pelletier.

LOCKE MILLS – The Greenwood Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at the society building on Main Street. Pat Stewart of Greenwood will speak about the book she published on Mollyockett. All are welcome.

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge met for a Friday morning game. Winners were: first, Marta Clements and Dossie Page; second, Les Buzzell and Mike Quinn; third, Bill and Carlene Hewitt; fourth, Pete Cummings and Dick Allen; fifth, Bailey Geeslin and Woodrow Mercier. Also placing were Pam and Errol Libby, Mike Newson and Nancy Farmer, Eleanor Griffin and Jim Dickens and Eileen Potvin with Della Starbird.
