MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Two airplanes preparing for takeoff at Manchester Airport on Wednesday hit each other in what officials called a minor accident.

There were no injuries.

Officials said that at about 6:30 a.m., a Detroit-bound Northwest Airbus clipped the tail of a parked United jet that was preparing to fly to Dulles.

The United plane had a gash in the tail.

Passengers were transferred from the planes and put on other flights.

“The tower instructed another aircraft to taxi behind that aircraft, and that’s when the contact was made, airport director Kevin Dillon said.

The Federal Aviation Administration was investigating the accident.
