Strawberry Festival

RANGELEY – Oquossoc’s Town Park will once again be the site of the Rangeley region guides’ and sportsmen’s annual Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 8. More than 400 shortcakes will be prepared with freshly picked local berries and topped with fresh whipped cream. Bob Daviau will again cook up his sausage-and-pepper sandwiches and the Girl Scouts will help with beverages.

A bake sale table will return with cakes, cookies and pies. Throughout the park, 60 vendors from across the region are expected to set up their wares. The area’s largest yard sale will be held on the roadway between the firehouse and the park, which will be closed to traffic. The Little Miss Strawberry contest will be held throughout the day, and people will have the opportunity to cast a vote from the photos on display.

Profits will help the many programs on this year’s agenda of the Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association.
