STRONG – Deborah Wing was named Employee of the Month at Strong Nursing Home recently. She was recognized for being a good listener.
Wing has been at Strong Nursing Home for 23 years. She is a licensed social worker and is an avid resident advocate.
When asked why she enjoys working at Strong Nursing Home, Wing replied, “The residents are my extended family and I love them all dearly. I have watched many of the residents grow up right alongside my own children.”
Wing resides in Freeman with her husband, Mike, and the two youngest children, Jordan and Chelsea. Her oldest daughter, Erin, lives in Strong and has wedding plans for next year.
Gardening is a passion for Wing. Her home is landscaped with at least a dozen flower beds as well as a vegetable garden. She is also in charge of the gardens at Strong Nursing Home.
