CASCO – The Casco Days Road Race (4 miles) is scheduled for Saturday, July 31 at 9:30 a.m.

Registration will take place between 7:30-8:30 at the Casco Public Library on Route 121 in Casco Village. All participants need to check in at that time even if they are pre-registered. Entry fee is $10 before July 27, and $15 after that date. T-shirts will be given to the first 250 entrants.

There will be assorted age groups, from 13-under to 60-over.

This race is a main attraction for the Casco Days Fair. Proceeds will benefit the Casco Fire Association.

Bridgton leaders

BRIDGTON – A total of 1,390 runners participated in Bridgton’s Four on the Fourth Road Race.

Mark Mayall of Maynard, Mass., was the overall winner with a clocking of 20:40. Second was Kevin Tilton of Conway, N.H., 20:57, followed in third by Byrne Decker of Falmouth, 21:13.

First female finisher was Lindsey Scherf of Scarsdale, N.Y., 23:25.

Second was Sharon Vos, Riverside, Conn., 25:51, followed by Kaitlyn Saldanha of Scarborough, 26:16.
