I just finished reading the Sun Journal article about racing at Oxford Plains Speedway on July 10 (July 11 paper). I am unimpressed by the description of the hard impact by driver, and my brother, Todd Bisbee. He didn’t take a “few minutes of unplanned nappy time.” He lost control of his car in traffic, slammed into the retaining wall, driver’s side first, and was knocked unconscious for several minutes.

I certainly would not call it “unplanned nappy time,” now or ever, nor would any other driver from OPS who has had hard contact with the retaining wall. Just ask Ron Jordan, who hit the retaining wall the same way and was in a coma for a few weeks.

I really hope and pray that the writer will have a better choice of words for any future accidents as serious as that one.
