FARMINGTON – Donna L. Souther, 60, of Livermore Falls, died early Tuesday afternoon, July 20, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born, July 4, 1944, in Farmington, a daughter of Hollis and Frances (Russell) Leavitt. She was educated in area schools later earning a B.S. in Rehabilitative Services from U.M.F. in 1996.

On Oct. 12, 1963, she married, Lauriston Souther in Wilton.

Mrs. Souther was a homemaker to her husband and children before going to work at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington for many years, mostly in the Admitting Dept. She went on to work with Rumford Group Homes, most recently at the Turner Family Support Center where she enjoyed her work with abused children. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and served as a trustee for Treat Memorial Library.

She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and collecting pig figurines. Her true love in life however, was time spent with her family especially her grandchildren and their trips to Dutch Treat.

She is survived by her husband, Lauriston, of 41 years; two sons, Russell Souther and his wife, Mary, of Sidney, and Chris Souther and his fiance, Keara Dupont, of Portland; a daughter, Kimberly Keene and her husband, Gregory, of Livermore Falls; a sister, Joanne Ross, of Farmington; four grandchildren, Samantha and Jessica Souther and Jacob and Emily Keene.
