LEWISTON – Robert J. Brideau, 59, of Wilton, died Sunday, July 25, in Lewiston after fighting a long battle with an illness.

He was born April 7, 1945, in Burlington, Vt., to the late Albert and Cecile Brideau. He was married to Lillian Dulac on May 5,1985.

He was a chef for many years, until his health stopped him. He enjoyed his grandchildren, cooking, motorcycle riding, talking on the telephone, and the Grange. He was a former member of Saracens. He was Master of Wilson Grange in East Wilton, and Past Master of Excelsior Pomona #5.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of Wilton; three daughters, Leah Fournier of Leeds, Tina and her husband, Ken Smith, of Lewiston, Lisa and her husband, Pat Sullivan, of New Gloucester; two sons, Ernest Richardson of Lewiston, and Timothy Richardson of Greene; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Roland Brideau and his wife, Barbara, of Ambler, Pa.; and three nieces.
